After years of playing in forums, I have finally figured out how everyone puts together such nicely organized posts.
The key is to upload photos (and videos) from your computer to a free image hosting service like Photobucket or ImageShack. I have been using Photobucket since 2004 and ImageShack since 2008. I like Photobucket better.
Once the pictures are uploaded, click "new topic" or "post reply" if replying to someone's topic. Then you can click the "Img" button and copy and paste the image link from your image hosting service.
The biggest reason I like to use these programs is due to my lack of knowledge regarding image resizing. No idea how to do it on a Mac, which is the only thing I use now. On a PC you can use the paint program and click "stretch/skew". Of course I am referring to free and default programs since I am cheap. One of the other reasons I like using Photobucket is because I can add text in between each picture on the post if I desire. This cannot be done if you "attach" pictures. If you choose to attach your files, the text you enter with your post will be on top and the attachments will all be below the text.
The other way to post photos is to click the "Choose File" button in the "Upload attachment" section of the new post. This way can be an easier option, but unless you took the picture at a low megapixel rating, it could be a very large file and difficult to view.
I alway click the "Preview" button prior to the "Submit" button, just to see what it will look like. That way you don't have to go back and edit the post after the fact. Another thing I figured out years to late.
